On 20 November 2023, UTAR Kampar Campus welcomed 21 enthusiastic learners ranging from Year 7 to Year 10, accompanied by 12 dedicated teachers and the esteemed Deputy Principal, Mrs Thor YPL for a campus visit. The main objective of their visit was to empower students, fostering an environment of learning and academic excellence.
CFS Kampar Campus conducted two workshops related to Biology and Physics for the participants. The Biology workshop, titled DNA Extraction, was facilitated by CFS Kampar Campus academics Ms Chia Phee Phee and Ms Chan Jer Jing, and assisted by laboratory officer Ms Chew Kai Chin. During this session, participants were guided through the process of extracting DNA from plant cells.
Meanwhile, the Physics workshop, titled Magnification of a Real Image by Convex Lens, was led by CFS Kampar Campus academics Pn Nor Habibi Saadah Binti Musa and Mr Lim Shoou Shinn, supported by laboratory officer Pn Ainulhikmah Binti Jamaludin. The students were fascinated by the world of optics and explored how lenses work.
The students enjoyed the visit and cited that the workshops were engaging. The activities also aroused their interest in Biology and Physics.
